- Contribute to the overarching implementation and operation of platform in the Google Cloud.
- Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and enable an end-to-end view on customer satisfaction based on best practices for setting up Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Collaborate with Business Functional Analysts and Solution Architects to find improvements in the solution design to improve the resilience of technical solutions early on.
- Consult and guide the squad on the prioritization of reliability improvement and actively deliver them as part of the sprint.
- Implement reliability and resilience patterns like auto-scaling, bulk-heads, rate limiter, retry mechanisms, etc.
- Actively work on service request fulfilment, incident and problem mgmt. to identify and reduce toil and the MTTR with engineering best practices.
- Align and contribute on state-of-the-art SRE best practices e.g. Distributed systems design and other modern approaches. What We're Looking For
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-based deployments.
- Ability to define SLOs and SLIs and translate them into measurable customer satisfaction metrics.
- Strong collaboration skills with Business Functional Analysts and Solution Architects.
- Experience delivering reliability improvements within sprints and a bias for action.
- Knowledge of reliability patterns (auto-scaling, bulkheads, rate limiting, retries, etc.).
- Familiarity with incident and problem management; reducing toil and MTTR.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art SRE practices and distributed systems concepts. Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed systems and advanced SRE concepts.
