About the Role Amazon is seeking a Site Process Expert to work in the EU Process Excellence (EUSC PE) team. The SPE is a field onsite role based at an EU Sortation Centre, focused on process stabilization, standardization and continuous improvement across the EU SC network. The role emphasizes ownership of initiatives, collaboration with SC leadership, and development of Lean Six Sigma capabilities. What You'll Do
- Work on Back to Basics (B2B) initiatives identifying top opportunities in the SC and comparing with other EU SCs; begin with the bottom 50% processes, analyze input metrics gaps, and implement the improvement action plan in collaboration with local Operations using standard templates.
- Oversee the SC improvement program and focus on the most important areas aligned with the SC Senior Leadership team.
- Dive deep into process performance using available standard reporting or by creating own data analyses; call out findings in daily dive deep meetings and convert information into tangible improvement plans.
- Review open Action Plans weekly, engage SC stakeholders to complete actions and reach targets.
- Collaborate with Process Improvement Experts, Change Managers and other Site PEs to clarify process-related questions and leverage expertise; benchmarking initiatives are encouraged to reduce variation across SCs.
- Drive Continuous Improvement by implementing network best practices, sharing locally-led initiatives with EU PE for review, and adding approved practices to the EU Best Practice repository.
- Strengthen the framework to capture and scale SC innovation; new ideas flow through a standard process and are presented to CPE for review.
- Partner with SC Ops: join daily Gemba on the floor with SC Leadership to stay aligned with top issues and Associate feedback; support Site Leader and Senior Ops on ad hoc tasks (less than 10% of time).
- During Q4, deployment to site management operational team may occur based on building needs. Travel within the area of responsibility (Domestic and regional) is 0-10% on average (subject to change).
- A day in the life includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing scalable best practices across the network. What We're Looking For
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- English and local language (based on location), Common European Framework of Reference C1.
- Experience in Amazon Operations as Area Manager or comparable experience. Preferred Qualifications
- Strong professional experience with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies.
- Relevant knowledge of continuous improvement practices. Nice to Have
- Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen expertise; ability to drive scalable process improvements across multiple sites.
