Site Engineer

BTech Construction Limited
Abuja (FCT) - Project sites across Nigeria Posted Oct 21, 2026
On-site

About this role

BTech Construction Limited is the construction and project delivery company within a growing group based in Abuja. We deliver building projects to programme, specification and budget, and we are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to take charge of execution on our project sites.

This is a site based appointment. The Site Engineer is the execution authority on each assigned site: the person who keeps work moving, holds every trade to standard and tells the Project Manager what is happening before they need to ask. We are looking for someone with the confidence and judgement to run day to day delivery, and the discipline to stay accountable on programme, cost and quality.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT) - Project sites across Nigeria

Employment Type: Full-time, site based

The Opportunity

  • We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to take charge of execution on our project sites.
  • This is a site based appointment.
  • The role involves working at project sites across Nigeria, and candidates should be willing to be based wherever the work requires.

The Role

  • Running the site: You will manage assigned sites from mobilisation to practical completion, directing site workers, subcontractors and artisans daily. You will prepare daily and weekly execution plans against the approved programme and check that all works meet specification and are properly sequenced.
  • Technical control: You will read and implement architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications, confirm setting out, levels and dimensions, and coordinate trades to avoid clashes. Any difference between the drawings and site conditions is raised at once.
  • Programme, materials and people: You will track progress against programme, report delays with a recovery plan and hold subcontractors to their milestones. You will prepare accurate material requisitions, count and verify every delivery before it is signed off, and keep labour working where it is most productive.
  • Health and safety: You will enforce PPE and site rules without exception, carry out daily safety checks and confirm that temporary works, scaffolding and access are safe before use. Incidents and near misses are reported immediately, with incident reports completed within 24 hours.
  • Records and reporting: You will produce clear daily and weekly site reports and maintain the site diary, inspection records, delivery notes and as built records, all filed correctly in our Microsoft 365 and SharePoint system.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A Degree or HND in Building Engineering or a related construction discipline
  • At least five years of hands on site experience, including large or complex construction projects
  • The technical competence to read and interpret full sets of architectural, structural and MEP drawings without assistance
  • Proven authority supervising site workers, subcontractors and artisans across several projects at once
  • A disciplined approach to health and safety, site rules and documentation
  • A clear, direct communicator who writes structured site reports and raises problems early

Application Closing Date

21st November, 2026.
