Job title: Silicon Photonics Intern - Ph.D
About the Role Marvell is seeking a Silicon Photonics Intern – Ph.D. to contribute to the optical component and IC design flow used in the industry. The role involves learning, understanding, and designing innovative optical devices within industry constraints.
What You'll Do
- Learn and understand the optical component and integrated circuit design flow used in the industry.
- Learn and understand the design constraints and trade-offs relevant to industry.
- Think creatively to design innovative optical devices and ICs while aligning with industry requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Pursuing or enrolled in a Ph.D. degree program.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor optical devices such as modulators, detectors, lasers and other waveguide devices.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with standard Si/CMOS process technologies used for fabrication of electro-optical devices.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with optical simulation software tools and/or optical device modeling.
- Ability to present data and ideas to a diverse audience.
