About the Role Join Alstom's Taipei Metro OCS Project as the Signaling Installation Site Supervisor. You will lead on-site signaling installation activities, coordinating with the local signaling team, civil partners and subcontractors to ensure signaling equipment is installed safely, to design, and on schedule. What You'll Do
- Coordinate with the local Signaling installation team, civil partners and subcontractors to ensure signaling equipment installation aligns with design, project timeline, and safety requirements.
- Lead field execution of metro signaling systems (SIG/COM/PWR/PSD), including installation of signaling devices and point machines, ensuring conformance to design and standards.
- Oversee signaling equipment installation, cable laying, termination, testing, including fiber optic splicing and testing.
- Ensure compliance with railway EHS standards and safety procedures; support revenue service readiness; be familiar with revamping procedures/processes during metro projects.
- Manage multiple workers and suppliers; provide leadership and resolve field deviations; ensure adherence to metro company procedures (check-in/check-out).
- Communicate effectively in Chinese; reading is essential; knowledge of Taiwanese Hokkien is a plus. What We're Looking For
- Engineering diploma (Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent education or 4+ years installation experience in metro SIG/COM/PWR/PSD systems.
- Experience with point machine installation; signaling equipment installation; signaling system cable laying;
- Experience with cable termination and testing; fiber optic splicing and testing.
- Knowledge and awareness of railway EHS; revenue service experience is advantageous.
- Experience with revamping procedures/processes of metro projects is an advantage; revenue check-in/check-out procedures (e.g., TRTC, NTMC) an asset.
- Strong leadership skills, decision-making ability, and problem-solving; resilient with analytical thinking to solve field deviations.
- Ability to manage multiple workers and suppliers.
- Chinese speaking (reading) is a MUST; Taiwanese Hokkien speaking is a plus. Nice to Have
- Revenue service or field experience in metro operations.
