Job title: Shuttle Driver - Cleveland Shuttle (Part-Time)
About the Role Oberlin College and Conservatory is launching a Cleveland-area shuttle service for students. The drivers will operate a 22-passenger shuttle on Thursday through Sunday to locations throughout the Greater Cleveland Area, including Crocker Park and University Circle. Multiple drivers will be selected to fulfill the full schedule.
What You'll Do
- Drive students on set shuttle routes on various dates throughout the school year.
- Take student attendance before boarding and after alighting to ensure students are accounted for safely.
- Communicate updates on issues and successes to the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement; troubleshoot with Campus Safety as they arise.
- Provide maintenance updates on the vehicle to Student Leadership and Involvement and Facility Operations; collaborate on route changes and improvements.
- Serve as a positive representative of Oberlin College and Conservatory.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Must possess a valid passenger Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within the state of Ohio.
- Driver must maintain eligibility of insurability demonstrated by Oberlin College and pass a MVR check.
- Ability to communicate well with others; punctual and reliable.
- Ability to assist physically challenged passengers in wheelchairs on or off the vehicle.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
