Job title: Short-Term Rental Controller
About the Role The Short-Term Rental Controller will oversee administrative duties for the branch, perform the short-term rental controller function, and assist the rental manager to ensure best management practices are followed in line with the company strategic vision.
What You'll Do
- Ensure STR achieves predetermined targets / budget
- Drive customer service excellence and ensure quality customer interactions
- Communicate effectively with customers, develop partnerships and tailor-made solutions for clients
- Evaluate personal development needs and address knowledge/skill gaps
- Conduct telesales and maintain records/quotes register and prospects
- Weekly and monthly reporting of stock count and utilization
- Prepare and complete refinance and defleet documentation
- Reserve, arrange delivery and collection of short-term fleet units and manage overall control
- Schedule, plan and allocate trips daily; manage all invoicing related to transport
- Ensure all delivery documentation for forklifts is accurate and properly authorised
- Invoicing of daily, weekly and monthly rental including excess hours
- Liaise with debtors regarding accounts for new and existing customers
- Ensure machines at customer have valid load test certificates
- Coordinate with workshop for preparation of machines prior to delivery (load test, service, attachments, chargers etc)
- Facilitate customer complaints and queries; follow through and communicate outcomes
- Maintain dedication to service excellence with timely feedback/communication to customers
- Provide general assistance to the manager as required
What We're Looking For
- Advanced / expert computer literacy in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Understanding and working knowledge of Kerridge system, ability to load information and draw reports
- Experience in fleet management
- Experience maintaining and updating information on databases
- Grade 12 / Matric
- EB / Code 8 driver's licence
