Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform unloading of trucks/containers and loading of trucks, which requires driving a sit-down forklift and lifting of packages.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against shipping documents, purchase orders, and packing slips.
- Maintain FIFO inventory practices and ensure materials are stored in designated locations.
- Prepare and load outgoing shipments. Inspect outgoing materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, material flow, inventory accuracy, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and other warehouse activities as required.
Requirements for Job Holders:
- Previous shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
- Proven good understanding of warehousing, inventory management, shipping and receiving procedures are preferred.
- Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft package.
- Must be Forklift-certified and able to undergo testing.
- Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to distinguish color.
- Ability to work on a fixed schedule from 8am to 5pm (Mo-Fr).
