Job title: Shipping & Packaging Clerk
About the Role The role is responsible for preparing castings for shipment and ensuring that quantities, part numbers, serial numbers and all necessary inspection documents, test bars, x-ray films, packing slips, etc., are correct and complete per PCC and customer specifications. It focuses on verification and packaging activities to support accurate customer shipments.
What You'll Do
- Verification: Check documentation and parts before packaging to ensure all paperwork is correct and complete, including inspection documents, test bars, and x-ray films.
- Packaging and Shipping: Package castings per customer specifications to prevent damage; use appropriate packing materials and determine best packing methods. Assemble wooden crates for shipments. Complete packing slips, bills of lading, and air bills. Build loads and coordinate shipments to customers.
What We're Looking For
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and shipping paperwork (packing slips, bills of lading, and air bills).
- Experience with packaging and shipping processes, material handling, and crate construction.
- Ability to verify contents against shipping and inspection documents and ensure correct quantities and serial numbers.
- Ability to collaborate with other departments to fulfill customer specifications.
