Job title: Shift Process Engineer (Etch), Day Shift (Sun-Thu)
About the Role Skyworks is seeking a Shift Process Engineer (Etch) to support a GaAs fab in a 24x7 production environment. The role focuses on sustaining and improving etch processes (compound semiconductor etch, dielectric etch, dry strip, wet etch, wet clean, wet strip and lift-off) and implementing process control using FDC and SPC, in collaboration with manufacturing to improve KPIs.
What You'll Do
- Sustain and improve etch processes.
- Improve etch process control.
- Improve tool/process outlier detection using FDC and SPC.
- Reduce held lots and ensure timely disposition of held lots.
- Define and establish process documentation, including work instructions and process controls.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support required KPIs, goals and objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's in science or engineering.
- Process engineering knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Core engineering principles; detail oriented and metrics driven.
- Effective communication; team player with strong process understanding and process improvement capabilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and find root cause using Six Sigma methodology.
- Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action needed to resolve lot issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Nice to Have
- Minimum 2 years of clean room experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 64,400 - 118,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
