Salary: £36,646 - £39,832

Benefits: 20% Shift Allowance, up to 10% Bonus, 5% employer pension, and benefits catalogue

Location: SUEZ, Severn Road, Hallen, BRISTOL, BS10 7GB

Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 5 OFF, 2 Days, 3 Nights, 4 OFF, 3 Days, 2 Nights, 12 OFF

About the role

What you'll be doing

  • Monitor, control, and optimise plant processes using the Distributed Control System (DCS), quickly identifying and resolving issues.
  • Operate and maintain water tube boilers, including water analysis, chemistry monitoring, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Perform safe system isolations to protect people, plant, and the environment.
  • Carry out regular checks, fault diagnosis, and support safe, reliable energy generation during normal operations, start-ups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards and environmental legislation at all times.

What we're looking for

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experience levels - enthusiasm for safe, sustainable operations is just as important as technical knowledge:

  • Experience in energy recovery, waste-to-energy, power plants, or similar industrial processes (essential).
  • Knowledge of boilers, combustion, process control, and relevant health & safety / environmental legislation.
  • Preferred: BOAS Cert IBO and/or IOSH Working Safely qualifications
  • DCS system operation experience (desired but not essential)
