Shift Manager at Desert De Oro Foods reporting to the Restaurant General Manager (RGM). This role leads shifts in a self-sufficient manner to ensure smooth operations, uphold food safety and guest satisfaction, and foster a culture of excellence.
What You'll Do
- Execute responsibilities for people, customer, and service
- Ensure Team Members complete their tasks for their assigned position(s)
- Ensure employees are clean and neat in appearance
- Personally demonstrate that customer needs are the highest priority
- Ensure food safety, quality, and accuracy of orders
- Resolve customer complaints quickly while maintaining positive customer relations
- Greets customers with a smile, is polite and pleasant when speaking with customers
- Work with management and fellow employees to serve customers with a sense of urgency
- Cooperate with peers, work with fellow employees as part of a team, helps others when they need a hand
- Developing people: provide regular feedback to the RGM on performance, ongoing constructive and complimentary feedback to Team Members, participate in training, handle conflicts constructively
- Act Like an Owner: assist profit & loss management by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory and managing labor; oversee proper product preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking, and holding times; assist RGM with facility maintenance and health & safety standards
- Attendance: understand posted work schedule and report to work as scheduled, on time, in uniform and ready to begin tasks; provide appropriate notice when unable to be at work; understand and use approved time-keeping system
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
- Able to do basic business math
- Able to stock shelves and coolers
- Able to clean the parking lot and surrounding grounds
- Able to sweep and mop floors
- Able to lift, carry trash containers, and place in an outside bin up to 50 lbs
- Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs and stooping during 90% of shift time
