About the Role Corning’s Display Technologies segment seeks an SHE Engineer at the Hefei, China site to ensure EHS compliance with legal and corporate standards, drive continuous improvements, and promote an injury-free, environmentally responsible plant culture.
What You'll Do
- Support related departments to review safety plans, work permits, and EHS-related applications to ensure ESH requirements are met.
- Identify ESH risks and improvement opportunities from documents reviews, Gemba walks, safety audits, and other sources.
- Drive corrective and improvement actions to be implemented by related functions.
- Conduct EHS training for employees and contractors.
- Offer suggestions and solutions as EHS consultants to plant leadership and related functions.
- Coach and participate in EHS incidents or abnormal investigations and drive improvements based on root causes.
- Monitor EHS-related changes from external and internal sources and proactively manage compliance and operational risk.
- Keep learning on EHS operations data and related leading practices or D^t solutions to offer suggestions to the SHE manager and plant leadership, and lead improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Required: Basic SHE knowledge (risk assessment, JSA, LOTO); Fluent in English (written & spoken); Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Project – desired, but not required); Good problem-solving skills; Good communication skills; Independent & flexible working attitude.
