About this role

Share a Cuppa, a Conversation and a Smile

Could you brighten someone's week with a simple visit and a friendly chat?

An older lady living independently in her home in St Leonards would love the company of a caring volunteer for a 30-minute social visit each week or fortnight. Over a cup of tea, you might share stories, chat about life, family, faith, or simply enjoy the comfort of good company.

Her Christian faith is an important part of her life, and she enjoys conversations that reflect her values and beliefs. A volunteer who is respectful of and comfortable engaging in faith-based conversations may help foster a meaningful connection. More than anything, we're looking for someone who is kind, patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys spending time with older people. No special experience is needed, just a listening ear, a warm heart, and a willingness to build a genuine friendship.

Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can give is our time. A simple visit can bring comfort, connection, and something both of you can look forward to each week. Could you be the friendly face she's hoping to meet?
