At Ovation Law Firm, we’re more than just attorneys — we’re a source of hope and justice for consumers and injury victims. Our firm is dedicated to turning legal challenges into life-changing victories worldwide. We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Settlement Coordinator to join our remote team and support our mission of achieving meaningful outcomes for clients nationwide.

About the Role

The Settlement Coordinator moves lemon law cases from demand to funded settlement. You track every settlement, keep manufacturers and clients on schedule, and make sure settlement paperwork, vehicle surrenders and payments close cleanly.

We represent consumers in automotive lemon law claims against manufacturers nationwide. You will work closely with attorneys, case managers and manufacturer counsel on a high volume of active files.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate repurchase and cash-and-keep figures, including incidental damages, offsets for use, negative equity and payoff amounts.

  • Track every settlement, offer and counter-offer, and flag responses that fall below authorized ranges to the assigned attorney.

  • Serve as day-to-day contact with manufacturer representatives and defense counsel on open settlements.

  • Follow up on outstanding checks, vehicle surrenders, release drafts and funding timelines, and escalate files that stall past firm deadlines.

  • Coordinate vehicle surrender logistics, including inspection dates, title transfer, lienholder payoff and payment of attorney's fees.

  • Explain offers, settlement terms and next steps to clients in plain language.

  • Obtain signed releases, settlement agreements, odometer statements and other required documents.

  • Keep clients updated on surrender scheduling and payment status.

  • Review release agreements for accuracy against the agreed terms before sending for signature.

  • Track settlement checks and attorney fee payments through receipt and disbursement.

  • Confirm lien and loan payoffs are completed and documented.

  • Keep case management records current for every settlement milestone.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a law firm, claims, or settlement role, preferably in consumer or plaintiff-side litigation.

  • Experience reading and summarizing financial documents such as purchase contracts, lease agreements and loan payoff statements.

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas for damages and offset calculations.

  • Experience with a case management system (e.g., Filevine, Clio).

  • Clear, professional written communication with clients and opposing counsel.

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality in all tasks and deliverables.

What We Offer

  • Earn $22-24/hour: Pay based on your skills and experience for a full-time, 40-hour workweek.

  • Boost Your Income: Enjoy performance-based bonuses.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance benefits.

  • 7 Paid time off (PTO) days plus 7 paid holidays.

  • Opportunity to directly influence the growth and success of a rapidly expanding law firm.

  • Long-term growth opportunities within a fast-growing organization.
