Service Technician - Millwright

About the Role KSB Pumps Canada is expanding their team and is seeking a technically skilled Service Technician - Millwright to collaborate with the Service Manager on repair projects, service field activities, and pump start-ups. The role emphasizes disassembly, inspection, overhaul of rotating equipment, and ensuring high-quality workmanship for centrifugal, multistage and submersible pumps.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the Service Manager on repair work scope and quotations
• Disassemble, clean, inspect and overhaul a wide variety of rotating equipment (centrifugal end suction, multistage and submersible pumps)
• Complete detailed inspection forms and recommendations for repair work scope required
• Support field site activities for both repair and new pump commissioning and start-up activities
• On-site installation inspections, start-ups and commissioning of new and repaired equipment
• Conduct in-house repairs on a wide variety of customer-supplied rotating equipment
• Complete detailed inspection findings on inspection forms and recommendations for repair work required
• Initiate development and use of procedures and safe work practices
• Complete detailed field service inspection reports and start-up forms
• Conduct precision measuring of critical tolerances and non-destructive electrical testing on electric motors
• Comply with all safety measures outlined by the company for all work processes
• Develop and maintain excellent communication with customers and internal colleagues
• Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure accurate and profitable quotations and correct repair work scope required
• Ensure continuous improvement of technical knowledge; attend and participate in promotional events and training seminars as required
• Support and resolve customer issues by responding to service requests as needed

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years’ mechanical experience with centrifugal pumps is an asset
• Millwright Certification or Technical Trades Diploma with 3-5 years mechanical experience
• 3-5 years’ experience as a mechanical tradesman
• Strong mechanical competence with centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment
• Machining and/or electrical background knowledge is an asset
• Computer literate, highly organized, knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Excellent communication skills and time management
• Willing to travel within the Western Provinces with some expectation for weekend work

Nice to Have

• Machining and/or electrical background knowledge is an asset (additional advantage)
• Experience with field service and pump commissioning is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour, dependent on experience
