Job title: Service Technician
About the Role The Service Technician will diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships. They will execute retrofit and commissioning activities for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam) and perform annual maintenance contracts (AMC) to ensure maritime safety and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships.
- Execute retrofit and commissioning activities for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
- Perform annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems.
- Troubleshoot software issues within control panels, including program upload/download.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on service experience.
- Required: Expertise in servicing Addressable Fire Detection Systems and Fire Extinguishing Systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Willingness to travel across Indian ports.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of conventional/addressable fire detection systems.
- Experience with naval and marine ship systems.
