Job title: Service Specialist
About the Role Service Specialist executes service work according to approved workflows and Accelleron standard processes and safety guidelines. Delivers excellent customer service, and in close cooperation with customers and other Accelleron teams, identifies new service opportunities for Accelleron.
What You'll Do
- Attend site field service work and perform field tasks such as breakdowns, preventative maintenance, installation and commissioning.
- Perform workshop repairs: dismantling, assembly, cleaning of parts using precision equipment; apply safety and health rules; consider actual site conditions.
- Planning/Coordination: prepare and control all materials, equipment and documentation needed for site activities, organized in accordance with contractual documentation.
- Repair: conduct inventories and inspections to determine maintenance needs; troubleshoot and repair; recommend changes to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: prepare technical and work reports to be signed by customer representative.
- Customer regulation: obtain passes or attend classes for commencing works.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical trade certificate plus 2-3 years’ experience working in turbochargers on marine vessels, or mechanical fitter or diesel fitter.
- Experience in rotating machinery service, particularly in turbocharging service; familiarity with turbochargers is a plus.
- Product service knowledge of various turbocharger types installed on two-stroke or four-stroke engines.
- Ability to operate rotating machinery (balancing machines, lathes, drills) and proficiency with measurement tools and metrics.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time; Australian citizen or permanent resident preferred but not mandatory.
Nice to Have
- Two-stroke or four-stroke engine turbocharger product service knowledge (additional advantage).
- Additional language or regional experience.
