About the Role
The Service Sales Manager at Cepheid drives service revenue growth by managing existing installed base accounts and developing new service opportunities across pharma, biotech, environmental, food, academia, and more. You will forecast pipeline, build customer relationships, and collaborate with field service engineers, instrument sales teams and marketing to deliver high-quality service solutions. What You'll Do

Achieve assigned service revenue, contract attach rate and margin targets; forecast sales pipeline and report performance regularly.

Manage existing installed base accounts (pharma, biotech, environmental, food, academia, etc.), build and maintain good customer relationships.

Promote and sell service solutions (preventive maintenance contracts, calibration, spare parts, upgrades, etc.), conduct needs assessment and close deals.

Develop new service accounts, track market trends and competitor information; participate in industry events to promote service portfolio.

Collaborate with field service engineers, instrument sales teams and marketing to ensure service quality and drive business growth. What We're Looking For

Experience in service sales or field service environments with a track record of meeting revenue targets.

Ability to manage installed base accounts and build strong customer relationships across diverse sectors (pharma, biotech, environmental, food, academia).

Strong needs assessment, solution selling, and closing skills; ability to forecast pipeline and report performance.

Market intelligence gathering and competitive analysis capabilities; willingness to participate in industry events to promote the portfolio.
