About the Role Join Alstom as a Service Maintainer/Electrical Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on the NGR fleet under the QNGR maintenance contract. You’ll diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems, conduct post-work testing, and support fleet operation to keep trains in service. What You'll Do
- Perform fault diagnosis, identification and rectification on the electrical and mechanical systems of the vehicle.
- Perform damage and vandalism repairs as required, including data capture and effective use of the SAP system.
- Liaise with Technical Specialists / ISST teams to ensure repairs are effected with no impact to in-service performance.
- Assist in identifying and producing vehicle modification programs to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Perform post-work testing and validation as necessary.
- Build positive relationships with drivers and Queensland Rail to support a successful fleet operation.
- Update the Maintenance Management System with all work carried out. What We're Looking For
- A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
- The ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
- Experience in troubleshooting, fault finding and reading/interpreting electrical schematics.
- Maintenance experience in a similar industry (Rail, Aviation, Mining, Heavy Industry) is preferred, but not essential.
- Be willing to participate in a rotating 24/7 shift roster.
- Cert III Electrotechnology and QLD Electrical licence (or ability to obtain). Compensation & Benefits
