Job title: Senior/Lead Java Automation Engineer
About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive automation specialist with 6–10 years of software testing, including strong hands-on RestAssured-based API automation, and leadership in test strategy, automation, and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will mentor junior testers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of our software products.
What You'll Do
- Define and implement test strategies, plans, and processes for complex software systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts using RestAssured.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements where applicable.
- Mentor junior testers and lead QA initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 6–10 years of experience in software testing, with strong automation script development using RestAssured.
- Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Java preferred).
- Experience with API testing tools (Rest Assured, Postman, ReadyAPI).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge in Selenium (Java).
- English language proficiency: C1 Advanced.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Airline Domain knowledge is a plus.
Nice to Have
- ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification.
- Airline Domain knowledge (explicitly mentioned as a plus).
- Additional cloud or automation tools experience.
