Senior/Lead Distributed Systems Software Engineer(Cloud Infra)

About the Role Salesforce is seeking a Senior/Lead Distributed Systems Software Engineer (Cloud Infra) to design and build scalable distributed filesystem components for our cloud platform. You will lead the development of production-ready code used by millions, mentor engineers, and help shape architecture across multi-tenant services. • Envision and build new components/frameworks in distributed filesystems to provide scale and efficiency for our cloud platform.
• Design and develop high-quality, production-ready code used by millions of users.
• Build efficient components/algorithms for a microservice, multi-tenant SaaS cloud distributed filesystem environment.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Lead, collaborate, communicate, and mentor others; work with cross-functional teams to align on roadmaps; participate in on-call rotation to keep services operational and highly available.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive innovations that improve system scalability, robustness, and availability. What We're Looking For
• Experience designing and building distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on scalable, robust services.
• Proficiency in producing production-ready software and strong code review/mentoring skills.
• Background in microservice architectures and multi-tenant SaaS in a cloud environment.
• Ability to lead, collaborate across functions, and communicate effectively; comfortable with on-call responsibilities.
• Familiarity with distributed filesystems or related storage technologies is a plus.
