Senior Writer - Proposals Management
Role Summary
A Senior Writer is a key member of the proposal team, responsible for managing and delivering high‑quality responses to complex bid and proposal documents for prospective and existing clients. This role requires advanced writing skills, strong subject‑matter expertise, and the ability to coordinate the RFP process and related activities with limited oversight, while operating within established guidelines and policies. The Senior Specialist may also be called upon to support management tasks as needed, ensuring continuity and effective team operations during periods of increased demand or in the absence of key personnel.
- Prepare and complete RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence questionnaires for a diverse client base, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, corporates, insurance companies, and investment managers.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on peer work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across proposal documents.
- Coordinate the response process from kick‑off meetings to final submission, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met, with guidance provided for more complex or unfamiliar situations.
- Research, draft, and tailor responses using the database and other resources, applying a strong understanding of client requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts, sales, and relationship teams to source information and develop clear, client‑focused responses.
- Maintain and enhance the RFP database, updating content and identifying opportunities for improvement within defined standards.
- Liaise with other business areas to ensure factual accuracy and consistency across materials.
- Contribute to projects beyond day‑to‑day proposal delivery, such as content management, supporting team initiatives, and assisting with problem‑solving efforts.
