Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Senior VPM Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills.
A Day in the Life: The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
- Lead cross-cultural program development activities to ensure completion of key milestones and vehicle Quality/Cost/Timing.
- Develop project schedules and manage the critical path.
- Monitor metrics, identify key issues, and bring 'decision-ready' issues forward to the chief engineer.
- Be the liaison between engineering and outside organizations (manufacturing, marketing, product planning, etc.).
- Ensure the project stays on schedule and on budget.
- Be able to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of professional-level experience in a related engineering discipline
- Firm understanding of automotive technology and engineering practices, with a hands-on background in the automotive industry
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Up to 10-20% travel may be required both domestic and international
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job
- Ability to perform work onsite at Farmington Hills
- Motor Vehicle Report required (clean driving record)
