About the Role

The Senior Vice President, Platform Technology will provide strategic and technical leadership to advance Tyler's platform technologies for State & Federal government markets, aligning platform strategy with client needs and Tyler's enterprise technology initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute the State & Federal platform technology strategy, serving as the primary technology thought leader and advocating modernization and interoperability.

  • Unite platform technologies and teams under single leadership, driving a cohesive platform approach and ensuring compliance, security, and performance.

  • Drive platform adoption across State & Federal lines, establish common standards, and promote reusability; collaborate with other divisions to align innovations.

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product Strategy, Account Management, and Service Delivery to develop go-to-market strategies, pricing, and implementation readiness; support opportunities with demos and solutions.

  • Represent Tyler to state/federal agencies, industry groups, and strategic partners; monitor market trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of needs.

  • Leverage AI to accelerate development and optimize resource use; work with the CTO office and Division CIO to align cloud initiatives and infrastructure.

  • Provide executive sponsorship for key client engagements and technology initiatives; oversee risk, scope, and delivery across programs.

  • What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership, with at least 8+ years in a senior executive role.

  • Proven success leading platform technology strategies at mid-size to large companies; preference for experience modernizing legacy systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide technology adoption; strong executive presence and stakeholder engagement.

  • Able and willing to work in a matrixed environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Preference for understanding of state and federal government technology markets.

  • Advanced degree is preferred; prior government-facing technology experience is a plus.
