About this role
About the Role
Senior UX Designer to guide the user experience discipline within MandM, acting as a crucial bridge between design, product, and engineering. You will translate complex problems into intuitive journeys, drive delivery from ideation to production, and mentor junior talent while shaping measurable outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Undertake end-to-end user experience design, translating complex customer problems into intuitive, accessible digital journeys from ideation to production-ready output.
- Independently drive the design pipeline within our product model, balancing hands-on contributions with reviewing others to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Uphold and evolve the design system as the single source of truth across Figma and Storybook to drive a cohesive experience and scalability.
- Lead in solving challenging edge-case scenarios and navigate complex user and business requirements; facilitate workshops and design critiques to align cross-functional teams and negotiate trade-offs between UX, business goals, and tech debt.
- Champion user research and usability testing, translating findings into data-led decisions; interpret user behavior data and ensure accessibility to WCAG 2.1 AA across all UI designs.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders; partner with third parties to deliver UX/UI wireframes and validation testing; mentor junior design talent and contribute to a strong internal design culture.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end UX design and translating user needs into elegant digital journeys.
- Strong design systems experience; proficient with Figma and Storybook, and able to maintain a cohesive, scalable design language.
- Ability to balance hands-on design work with mentoring and reviewing colleagues to maintain quality and consistency.
- Excellent facilitation skills; able to run workshops and design critiques and communicate design rationale clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Evidence-based approach: experience with user research, usability testing, and data-driven decision making; comfort interpreting analytics.
- Commitment to accessibility and inclusive design, with knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
- Collaborative, cross-functional mindset with strong communication and storytelling abilities; comfortable partnering with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, as well as external partners.
