Description

• Our client is a small, profitable indie studio behind a beloved factory and automation game currently in early access on Steam. They’re bootstrapped, fully remote, and have been steadily building and expanding their game for over four years with plans to keep going for years to come. They’re looking for a Senior Unity Developer to join a team of 8 across the US and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new game features, mechanics, and systems
• Work with Unity and a suite of custom in-house solutions (management, simulation, and more – nearly everything is built from scratch)
• Profile and optimise game performance
• Develop and maintain internal tools
• Bug fixing and testing

Requirements

• Generalist mindset – you’re comfortable across systems, not just tooling

• Fluent English

• Strong fundamentals in algorithms and data structures

• Excellent knowledge of C#

• Solid understanding of Unity Engine, 3D graphics, and shader programming

• University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

The team is lean, moves with ownership, and values direct communication over bureaucracy. The game is in early access and expected to stay there for at least 3 more years – this is a long-term project, not a crunch-and-ship setup.
