Our Energy and Engineered Risk Property Team focuses on property coverage for clients in the chemical and mining sectors.
What You'll Do
- Underwrite, manage and service a profitable book of business.
- Develop, manage and execute on a pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Manage existing relationships and develop new producer and client relationships in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with marketing to effectively cross-sell the company's offerings.
- Work with technical specialists to identify and understand risk exposures.
- Negotiate policy terms and coverages to align with company directives.
- Utilize underwriter authority in accordance with our risk appetite and strategy.
- Partner with the Energy and Engineered Risk Property team to deliver strong client outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of commercial insurance underwriting or operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Some knowledge of Specialty Lines of commercial insurance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make quick decisions and meet deadlines.
- Outcome-focused, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic.
- Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
- For NYC roles the base salary ranges from $70,000-$95,000; for MA roles $85,000-$104,000; plus eligibility for a performance bonus.
Nice to Have
- Experience or knowledge in Energy and Engineered Risk Property, especially in chemical and mining sectors.
