Job title: Senior Underwriter - Financial Lines (Sweden)
About the Role Based in Stockholm, you will drive the Management Liability Commercial (MLC) portfolio in Sweden, handling D&O, Crime, and EPL, and act as a strategic anchor in our Nordic operations. You will own strategic underwriting and portfolio profitability while collaborating with teams across Denmark, Norway, and Finland to deliver solutions for Swedish clients.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Underwriting: Assess risks, structure complex programs, and price policies within D&O, Crime, and EPL for major organizations.
- Portfolio Ownership: Ensure profitability and growth of your assigned book through rigorous data analysis and proactive renewal management.
- Broker Partnerships: Act as a trusted commercial partner and decision-maker for our Swedish brokers, delivering solutions that meet client needs.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior colleagues in the team, elevating the overall technical capabilities of the Nordic Financial Lines unit.
- Product Development: Contribute to the broader Nordic strategy by identifying market trends and tailoring products to local client needs.
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience working with Financial Lines products (Claims, Broking, complex UW Operations, or as an Underwriter with ballast to enable a senior transition).
- Deep technical understanding of Management Liability products.
- Strategic thinker who navigates complex stakeholder landscapes and drives commercial relationships.
- Analytical mindset, capable of translating complex financial and legal data into actionable decisions.
- Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Prior underwriting experience is an advantage, but not strictly required.
