Job title: Senior Underwriter, Corporate Casualty

About the Role Join AIG's Corporate Casualty team as a Senior Underwriter responsible for promoting, training, and underwriting Corporate segment Casualty insurance. You will work under underwriting authority and supervision to drive profitable growth, manage budgets and KPIs, and collaborate with product, sales, and claims teams, including participation in large multinational accounts and new product development initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Review new and renewal submissions from distribution channels with underwriting due diligence, risk selection, terms and conditions, and limit management to ensure profitability and volatility control; obtain supervisor approvals as needed.
• Handle large, complex accounts and coordinate with overseas counterparts for multinational accounts; propose alternative options when appropriate.
• Create marketing, promotion and training strategies with distribution colleagues; visit brokers, agents and customers; develop materials and provide practical risk-related advice.
• For certain products, perform booking and policy drafting for underwritten accounts and instruct operations accordingly.
• Ensure appropriate underwriting approvals are obtained and escalate issues to management with coordinated solutions.
• Build cross-functional relationships with product, sales, claims, operations, actuarial, data analytics, risk engineering, reinsurance, and overseas AIG offices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; English business level required (speaking and writing).
• More than 7 years of working experience in P&C insurance with underwriting experience in Casualty.
• Knowledge of market, distribution, contract acquisition, portfolio management, etc.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to cooperate with others as a team.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
