About this role
About the Role Senior UI/UX Artist to help MPG deliver world-class game user interfaces for our clients. You will collaborate closely with game designers, artists, engineers and production teams to improve UX, visual layout and usability. You’ll champion clear communication in UI, share knowledge, and drive improvements to processes. What You'll Do
- Create professional UI experiences focusing on UX design, visual layout and concepts.
- Organize and review play-tests of UI prototypes and final in-game UI.
- Iterate on playable game flows so stakeholders can test the UI before expensive implementation.
- Create motion graphic mock-ups to illustrate complex interactions.
- Communicate with stakeholders, extract requirements and advise on solutions.
- Lead by example: establish benchmarks, style guides, workflows, documentation and approvals.
- Produce high-quality UI documentation and style guides; report for internal and client needs.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and proposing cutting-edge UI practices. What We're Looking For
- Deep understanding of the roles/workflows of a UI art team and how it integrates with the wider development team.
- Strong Graphic Designer background with knowledge of art theory.
- Advanced knowledge of User Interface theory and practice, including terminology and best practices.
- Proficiency with UI/graphic design tools (Figma, Photoshop) and Unreal Engine; solid general art tools and game engines.
- Ability to create and present high-level documentation, style guides, and ideation.
- Ability to advise team members on UI production matters; experience using Jira.
- Exceptional attention to detail; strong ability to analyse and comprehend visual direction.
- Strong communication skills; ability to verbalise conceptual thoughts and accept constructive critique.
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Experience with direct client communication; UI concept art and white-box wireframing experience is a plus. Nice to Have
