A Senior Transport Manager – Operations is being sought to lead and optimize transport and fleet activities in support of refinery operations in Lagos. The role focuses on strategic leadership and the effective management of transportation resources to ensure smooth, safe, and compliant operations in a high-demand industrial setting. - Responsibilities
- Oversee transport and fleet operations to support refinery activities
- Develop and implement efficient transport strategies and processes
- Lead and manage a large fleet and related logistics activities
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards across all transport operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transport plans with production and maintenance schedules
- Monitor performance, optimize costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and develop the transport operations team
- Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in transport operations, with at least 5+ years managing large fleets
- Background in Industrial, Oil & Gas, or Mining preferred
- Degree in Transport, Logistics, Engineering, or Business
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a high-demand, safety- and compliance-focused environment
