Senior Traffic Management Designer
We're looking for a Senior Traffic Management Designer to join our team based nationwide. As part of our team of temporary traffic management designers, you'll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline – supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery.
Location: Nationwide Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Are you…
- Someone who has completed IEng Initial Professional Development (or CEng equivalent progress) with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE) and has relevant experience
- Or, someone with a Level 6 or Level 7 qualification and significant relevant experience
- Or, someone with significant experience in this field
- Able to demonstrate collaborative working skills, building effective relationships across teams, clients and stakeholders
- Focused and disciplined in your approach, with the ability to deliver what you promise
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Traffic Management Designer, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering complex construction engineering services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of complex construction engineering services. As a Senior Traffic Management Designer, you'll play a key role in providing safe and buildable solutions across a broad range of projects. You'll have the chance to lead the delivery of services, work collaboratively with talented colleagues, and make a real impact through your technical expertise and innovative approach.
Your day to day will include:
- Checking and approving Temporary Traffic Management plans for low-speed and high-speed designs
- Designing and checking low speed TTM designs, and producing some high speed TTM designs under supervision
- Leading project responsibilities including agreeing technical requirements, leading the development of fee proposals, and organising day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Company policies, including CDM Regulations and the Kier SHE Management System
- Building positive relationships with clients and design teams, representing Kier at project meetings and managing financial and commercial aspects of projects
