Job title: Senior Test Engineer Propulsion (m/f/d)

About the Role Join MT Aerospace, part of the OHB Space and Technology Group, as a Senior Test Engineer Propulsion to support European launcher programs such as Ariane and other international launchers take off. You will plan, conduct and document static and dynamic tests for propulsion components and help expand testing capabilities with customers.

What You'll Do

• Plan, conduct and document static and dynamic component tests in propulsion technologies (thermal-/ fluid-/ mechanics and combinations).
• Coordinate test objectives with engineering teams and develop test setups within quality and safety constraints.
• Carry out component tests with multiphysics approaches at MTA Augsburg site or external partners; engineer and install test setups.
• Further develop existing testing portfolio according to the needs of our customers.
• Independently estimate costs for component testing campaigns.
• Detailed planning of internal and external test campaigns.
• Issuing test plans and test procedures (english and german).
• Report to project leaders, team leader and customers (english and german).

What We're Looking For

• University degree Dipl.-Ing. (TU/FH) or Masters (M.Sc., M.Eng., etc) in spacecraft propulsion, aerospace engineering, test engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years experience in propulsion engineering, test-engineering or test conduction of complex components.
• Experience with cryogenic media (liquid and gaseous) preferable.
• Experience in theoretical and practical measurement of physical parameters, vacuum-technology, fluid mechanics.
• Experience in automated data acquisition and evaluation.
• Experience in programming and setting up automated test setups (e.g. Python, etc.).
• Good moderation and negotiation skills in dialog with internal and external customers.
• Languages: German (B2), English (fluent).
