Job title: Senior Test Engineer (Device Qualification Engineer)
About the Role As a Senior Test Engineer (Device Qualification Engineer) you will contribute to shaping the future of mobility by qualifying devices according to specifications, assessing customer test requirements, defining verification tests and simulations including reliability verification, and supporting D-FMEA activities. You will develop test concepts, plan and document test equipment, coordinate production, and supervise tests to ensure compliance with functional, quality and reliability requirements.
What You'll Do
- Fulfill test plans and qualify devices according to specifications; assess customer test requirements, analyze designs, and define verification tests and simulations including reliability verification; support D-FMEA activities.
- Develop test concepts and specifications; plan, design and document test equipment; coordinate production and approve test equipment; plan floor space for testing.
- Maintain test rigs and equipment; build time and cost plans for prototype and series product testing.
- Create control plans for prototypes, coordinate assembly, check prototypes against the control plan, and document results in IRP.
- Instruct supporting personnel and supervise tests according to plan; document results in test reports and evaluate against functional, quality and reliability requirements.
- Support design engineers in generating ideas for design improvements; assist in creating series documentation; support analysis of claims.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of experience in device qualification/testing in the automotive industry
- Degree in Engineering
- Experience in device test
- Fluent in English
- Proficient in MS Office; LabVIEW/DIADEM/CANalyzer experience is advantageous
- Literate in measurement systems and pneumatics
Nice to Have
- D-FMEA experience (advantage)
