Position: We are seeking a talented and driven Tax Senior to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will build and nurture lasting client relationships while managing tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, including privately held businesses, business owners, families, and high-net-worth individuals.

Tax Preparation

  • Prepare and review federal and state business tax returns for clients, including LLCs, partnerships, C corporations, and gift and estate tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and filing requirements.

  • Review financial statements and support tax accounting schedules for clients, and reconciling book to tax differences.

  • Conduct comprehensive research on tax issues, tax planning strategies, and effective tax rate optimization.

  • Assist in researching client issues and representing clients in IRS audits, ensuring compliance with domestic and international tax laws.

  • Maintain accurate and complete client documentation, working papers, and supporting schedules in compliance with firm and regulatory standards.

Consulting Services

  • Support clients by writing proposals, engagement letters, and overseeing budgeting, staffing, and billing; foster strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.

  • Perform tax research and collaborate with managers and partners to develop tax planning strategies for business transactions and restructurings, explaining complex tax matters to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Participate in in-house CPE classes and specialized tax training provided by the firm to stay current on the latest developments in tax regulations.

Administrative & Leadership Duties

  • Supervise and review the work of junior tax staff and interns, providing coaching, technical guidance, and ongoing professional development.

  • Participate in firm-sponsored CPE and specialized tax training (e.g., international tax) to maintain and expand technical expertise and stay current with evolving tax laws and regulations.

  • Share technical knowledge with team members, assist in resolving complex tax issues, and promote consistent application of tax guidance across client engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; master's in taxation preferred.

  • CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting.

  • Strong technical skills in tax compliance and planning.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), CCH, and QuickBooks Online.

The annual base salary range for this role is $105,000-$120,000. This range includes the anticipated low and high end the salary range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education and/or skill level.
