About this role
A Senior Systems Engineer with Full Scope Polygraph is sought by MTSI in Fort Meade, MD. The role requires a U.S. citizen with a TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph to lead and contribute to the development and integration of RF signal processing capabilities and related systems. You will work across multiple disciplines and interfaces with government and program staff to ensure technically sound, integrated solutions that meet DoDAF/SOA architectures and program needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead innovative development and enhancement of radio frequency (RF) signal processing capabilities.
- Facilitate integration of new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors.
- Analyze user requirements, concepts of operations, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirement specifications.
- Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
- Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
- Develop system architecture and design documentation.
- Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts.
- Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with defined architectures (DoDAF, SOA, etc.).
- Contribute to the development of System Engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
- Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
- Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities based on development and operational considerations.
- Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and components.
- Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions.
- Define methods, processes, and evaluation criteria to verify systems and subsystems against requirements.
- Develop system design solutions that satisfy requirements and fulfill functional analysis.

14+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (20-100 personnel).

Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools.

Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum).

Qualifications Desired

Proficiency with Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or similar SysML tools.

Experience using Python and SQL.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or AWS GovCloud.

Experience with ETL frameworks.

Education Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

5+ years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Certifications
-
INCOSE ASEP or similar systems engineering certification desired.
