Job title: Senior Systems Architect

About the Role Responsible for strategy and design of controls systems across hardware, software, telecommunications, infrastructure and/or information domains. This role defines testing strategies, standards and practices for enterprise platforms and may define and manage project deliverables, working with platform Centers of Competence to ensure adherence to processes and coherence. The position emphasizes quality management, distribution of quality standards, and oversight of quality/testing for third-party partners. As a subject matter expert across one or more technical disciplines, you will design and deliver parts of new systems or enhancements to meet business objectives while balancing risk, performance and cost within Xerox architectures and policies.

What You'll Do

  • Adhere to and influence established design principles, guidelines and procedures for a major XIM organization or platform; participate in technical reviews.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for technical decisions impacting the system or subsystem; assess and manage technical risk, prepare risk mitigation options and escalate significant risks to the program team and leadership.
  • Design and deliver parts of new systems and/or enhancements, including non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, reliability) to meet business objectives in a manner that balances cost and risk.
  • Describe technical requirements to internal and third-party providers of IT products and services to ensure they meet business and technical objectives.
  • Contribute to program/project plan preparation and status updates; manage the technical relationship with internal and external IT providers/deliverables.
  • Work under broad direction with accountability for own technical work or project/supervisory responsibilities; establish milestones, team objectives and delegate assignments.

What We're Looking For

  • In-depth knowledge and experience across one or more technical disciplines; able to act as a subject matter expert.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver system components and enhancements, including non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, reliability).
  • Strong ability to assess and manage technical risk, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to build relationships with customers and collaborate with internal/external partners.
  • Capacity to work with broad direction and take ownership of milestones and delivery; experience managing resources in project contexts.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with quality and environmental management techniques in a technology context.
  • Familiarity with platform Centers of Competence (architecture, infrastructure & production support).
  • Understanding of IT product/service delivery and vendor management.
