Job title: Senior Systems Analyst SAP
About the Role The SAP Senior System Analyst will facilitate the delivery and support of SAP development projects within specified functional areas. This role leads technical/functional development and support, including UI5/Fiori reports, interfaces, conversion programs, database design, and enhancements, with potential work on SAP Portal, ABAP, SAP UI5/Fiori, and JAVA web-dynpro.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the business to understand requirements and translate into IT solutions.
- Plan, analyze, design, develop, test, and implement IT solutions.
- Provide support for difficult and complex system environments; provide user training.
- Drive small to medium projects; coordinate activities across multiple projects.
- Apply ITIL methodology in task execution; meet with decision makers and users to define goals and resolve issues.
- Ensure compatibility/interoperability of in-house systems; review and improve existing systems.
- Create system models, diagrams, and specifications for developers; conduct in-depth testing with end users.
- Research software products to justify purchases and support procurement.
- Participate in code reviews and testing of UI5 components, Node.js modules, and integration scenarios; support on-call responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS in Information Technology or Computer Science or BE/B.Tech with 5+ years of IT applications development and support experience.
- Experience with SAP ABAP, HANA, Cloud Application Programming Model, RESTful programming.
- Manufacturing/distribution IT development experience.
- Familiar with multiple sales methodologies/tools across industries; strong planning/analysis/design/testing/implementation capabilities.
- 4+ years of SAP experience with hands-on ABAP RAP, HANA, CDS; CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins); SAP CPI or PI for integration; SAP PI/PO 7.5.
- Experience with integration patterns, 3rd party/internal app integration, and EDIFACT/ANSI X12 EDI.
- Knowledge of SAP/Non-SAP integration with 3rd party systems; configuration mapping and development, including Message Mapping and XSLT.
- Java experience for UDF development; NWDS familiarity; wireframe tools.
- Minimum 2 years of SAP support in a customer-service oriented environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and process management skills; ability to work with remote teams; Agile experience preferred.
