About the Role OHB System AG is seeking a Senior System Engineer to contribute to European space-based defence projects. The role focuses on defining and implementing data exchange between internal and external systems based on NATO standards, and applying model-based system engineering to develop robust solutions. You will work in an international team to design, evaluate, and demonstrate data dissemination architectures for ground and space elements. What You'll Do
- Analyse external and internal systems’ needs, missions, and customer requirements
- Define information and data to be transferred within the system and with external systems based on NATO standards
- Derive multiple solutions for data dissemination (e.g., ground-based radars, missile defence systems, civil systems)
- Negotiate solutions with other companies
- Define architecture options and perform trade studies for ground and space system elements
- Specify the selected solution using a model-based systems engineering approach
- Implement one or more solutions in a software demonstrator
- Write the interface control document (ICD) for the selected solution and option -Work in an international team of OHB experts and project partners What We're Looking For
- Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering, electronics, software development, or equivalent
- Ideally several years of experience in defence and security systems engineering
- Ideally experience in data exchange of active or passive missile defence systems
- Strong self-organization, planning, and sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
- Experience with NATO standards and processes
- Ability and willingness to obtain German security clearance
- Ideally MBSE experience
- Fluency in both spoken and written English Nice to Have
- Experience with MBSE is advantageous
