About this role
We are seeking a Senior Software (Embedded) Engineer to join Marvell's SDK development team for Teralynx switching products. You will lead and contribute across the full software lifecycle for cloud Datacenter packet processors, working with a distributed engineering team to deliver scalable embedded network software.
What You'll Do
- Technical leader in a fast-paced project team of R&D engineers developing cloud Datacenter products within Marvell's packet processor family for Teralynx.
- Contribute to and lead all phases of software development from requirement gathering through architect/design, implementation, unit/functional testing, and maintenance of multiple software components.
- Demonstrate technical leadership and drive projects across a highly distributed engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups including architects, other development teams, QA/Validation, System Test, Product Management, Product Documentation, and Customer teams.
- Mentor and train team members.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8-10 years of experience or Master’s with 5-10 years.
- Extensive depth in L2/L3 Ethernet switching and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- SDK development experience for Switching/Routing ASICs.
- Hands-on experience in switch/router embedded system software development.
- Experience architecting Linux-based embedded products.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences from executives to junior engineers.
Nice to Have
- L2 switching/forwarding areas: LAG, VLAN, xSTP, LLDP, Link OAM, ARP, VxLAN, DC fabric switching.
- L3 routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, IGMP, BGP, ISIS.
- ACL, QoS, Policers, TCAM.
