Job title: Senior Supplier Quality Manager - Life Series & Project
About the Role You will lead supplier quality activities across life-series and project programs, driving non-conformity reduction and reliability improvements. This role involves travel to supplier sites, managing deviations, and coordinating the cost recovery process for non-quality items. You will build and steer a high-performing supplier quality team and ensure best-practice quality with APSYS and the School of Quality.
What You'll Do
- Lead and reduce supplier non-conformities in serial production or warranty phases
- Travel to supplier sites to audit, inspect, and resolve issues
- Manage supplier waivers/deviations for serial production parts
- Support cost recovery for non-quality with suppliers
- Capture and disseminate lessons learned and apply them across programs
- Drive reliability growth by steering supplier quality issues, root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Handle complex technical problems in warranty and qualify suppliers through generic audits, special processes, or first article inspections under delegated authority of supplier development quality engineer
- Lead and develop supplier quality teams across serial-life, project quality and incoming inspection; manage budget for the activity
- Lead the plan to reduce non-conformities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure quality standards and APSYS practices
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in supplier quality management, warranty support, and non-conformity reduction
- Strong ability to lead teams and manage budgets
- Experience with supplier qualification audits and first article inspections; ability to delegate inspection tasks
- Willingness to travel to supplier sites
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of APSYS and quality tools
Nice to Have
- Experience with APSYS or similar quality systems used in Alstom
- Familiarity with the "École de la Qualité" approach and continuous improvement culture
