Job title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
About the Role Based in Suzhou, you will be the key person for NPD parts development, new supplier qualification, cost and capacity improvement projects and supplier quality improvement. Your role will be to build strong supplier relationships, manage KPIs, and align supplier capabilities with organizational quality standards, with a focus on delivering zero-defect components and elevating supply chain reliability in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
What You'll Do
- Develop and qualify local suppliers for casting, machining, aluminum die casting, power metal, stamping, and other processes.
- Implement supplier development projects and manage delivery schedules.
- Conduct on-site PPAP (Production Part Approval Procedure) activities and control PPAP quality.
- Work with suppliers to continuously improve supplier quality performance.
- Resolve supplier quality issues and implement preventive actions.
- Audit suppliers’ quality systems and processes; drive improvement actions with suppliers.
- Support suppliers on capacity increases and cost-down projects.
- Conduct feasibility reviews with relevant teams.
- Coach and share technical knowledge with the team.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in mechanical or related engineering field.
- Familiar with PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, SPC, APQP, ISO9001; strong auditing skills; GD&T.
- Capable of understanding engineering prints and specifications.
- At least 8 years of supplier quality and development experience.
- Strong communication and teamwork; able to work independently.
- Good project management and scheduling skills; travel required.
- Problem solving and follow-up abilities.
- Fluent English (verbal and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Over 12 years of supplier quality and development experience.
- OFC manufacturing related experience.
