About the Role Databricks is seeking senior leaders to create the vision and define the strategy for Security Engineering within Trust & Safety. You will help make the platform safer for customers, attract top talent, and represent the security discipline across the organization as well as at academic and industry conferences.
What You'll Do
- Lead and evangelize Security Engineering across functional and organizational lines to shape IAM strategy and security posture.
- Identify and plug key gaps in infrastructure and services to improve safety for customer data on the platform.
- Represent the security discipline throughout the company and advocate data-driven decision making.
- Attract top security talent and represent Databricks at conferences and industry events.
What We're Looking For
- 9+ years of experience in Data Security or related areas and expertise in two or more of the following: Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response.
- Experience building systems at large scale internet companies is a huge plus.
- 15+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Leadership skills and experience to lead across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize Data Security to senior leaders across the company.
- Bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields.
Compensation & Benefits
- Local Pay Range $232,000—$313,000 USD. The total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits as listed in the company details.
- Pay ranges are location-dependent and take into account multiple factors.
