Senior Staff Product Designer, Product Growth

Intuit
Mountain View, California
On-siteUSD 203,000 - 274,500 / year

About this role

Job Overview

Join a world-class growth team building the future of how small businesses discover, adopt, and grow with QuickBooks. As a Staff Product Designer on Product Growth, you'll own design strategy, craft, and outcomes for web acquisition, the top of the funnel where customers first meet QuickBooks.

You'll set design direction for the web acquisition experience, shape where we play and how we win experientially, and rally engineering, product, data science, and marketing behind a clear, customer-backed point of view. You think in systems, journeys, and durable design capabilities, not one-off screens, and you hold a high bar for craft even in a fast-moving, experiment-driven environment.

Craft matters here. We believe great growth comes from experiences that are thoughtfully designed, not just well-tested, and we expect the same care in an experiment as in a shipped feature. You'll bring a strong point of view on visual and interaction quality, sweat the details that make a product feel cohesive and trustworthy, and help the team hold that standard as we move fast.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design strategy and vision for the top-of-funnel web experience, including trials, QuickBooks Free, nurturing, and commercialization, connecting near-term experimentation to durable, high-quality customer experiences.
  • Be accountable for experience quality and business results (visitor-to-trial and signup conversion, activation, and early monetization), partnering with PM on clear North Star and operational KPIs.
  • Drive an AI-first design strategy, reimagining end-to-end customer journeys with AI at the center rather than polishing features in isolation.
  • Design experiences that make AI-powered features intuitive, transparent, and trustworthy for a diverse range of users.
  • Contribute to a high-velocity design and experimentation culture, from discovery and concepting through rapid prototyping and A/B testing on the highest-leverage surfaces, without sacrificing craft for speed.
  • Raise the bar on craft across the team: visual, interaction, and systems-level design, ensuring experiments and shipped features alike reflect a high-quality, cohesive product experience.
  • Influence cross-functional partners and leaders with compelling, craft-forward storytelling and research-backed points of view; align teams on target customers and the experience needed to win them.
  • Mentor designers and partners on both craft and strategic thinking, and help shape the team's design standards and operating model as we scale the growth muscle.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, data science, and growth marketing to ship scalable, high-quality, high-craft solutions

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design experience, with a focus on product-led growth, funnel/conversion design, or growth in a B2B or SaaS environment.

  • Track record of leading design for web acquisition or top-of-funnel experiences (such as trials, freemium, nurturing, or commercialization) and delivering measurable business outcomes without compromising on experience quality.

  • Strong expertise in experimentation and A/B testing, with fluency in behavioral data, funnel analytics, and how customers actually experience a product.

  • Experience designing with AI/ML (personalization, predictive engagement, and AI-accelerated discovery and delivery) within a product growth context.

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into your design workflow to improve quality, speed, or exploration.

  • Demonstrated ability to raise design craft across a team: a strong point of view on visual and interaction design quality, systems thinking, and consistency at scale.

  • Excellent storytelling, communication, and influence skills; you can rally cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders around a clear vision and a strong point of view.

  • Comfort with ambiguity; you've contributed to building or scaling a design practice within a growth function, and you mentor others to a higher bar on both craft and outcomes.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating rigorous craft, systems-level thinking, and measurable impact at scale.

  • Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). • Mountain View $203,000 - $274,500
