About the Role Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Trust is a hands-on senior individual contributor role focused on building and maintaining trusted, fraud-resistant systems at Airbnb. You will define the long-term ML technical vision for the Trust organization, mentor engineers, and contribute code in production ML systems across the platform. What You'll Do
- Define and execute on the long-term ML technical vision and strategy for the Trust organization, identifying key investments, architecting scalable solutions, and championing best practices that advance the state-of-the-art in production ML systems.
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor to other ML and software engineers across the organization, providing guidance on complex architectural and modeling challenges.
- Collaborate across teams and Airbnb's technical organization to deliver on the Trust engineering roadmap, and contribute hands-on coding as a senior individual contributor. What We're Looking For
- Senior technical individual contributor with hands-on software engineering and ML experience.
- Ability to design, implement, and operate production ML systems at scale; strong architectural and modeling skills.
- Experience mentoring and guiding other ML and software engineers across teams.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to partner with leaders across the technical organization.
- Passion for advancing AI/ML innovation and building trust across Airbnb's platform. Nice to Have
