About the Role Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer on Airbnb's Growth Platform Engineering team. You will help drive long-term sustainable growth by building autonomous AI systems that identify opportunities, create campaigns, personalize experiences, and optimize outcomes with minimal human intervention. What You'll Do
- Design, build, and scale machine learning models and platforms that power personalized content and growth campaigns across Airbnb products.
- Build agentic systems capable of autonomously identifying opportunities and delivering optimized outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business goals into scalable ML solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to platform reliability and engineering best practices. What We're Looking For
- Deep expertise in machine learning and large-scale systems, with a track record of deploying ML features in production.
- Strong software engineering skills, experience with distributed systems, ML ops, and experimentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment and influence across teams.
- Experience shipping growth-focused ML features such as personalization, recommendations, or campaigns. Nice to Have
- Experience specifically in growth platforms, experimentation, and A/B testing.
- Familiarity with privacy, security, and compliance considerations in ML.
