Job title: Senior Staff Hardware Design Engineer - high-speed PCB-level design and signal integrity implementation
About the Role Marvell’s Connectivity Hardware team designs evaluation boards and reference designs for data-rate 100G+/lane. You will contribute to high-speed PCB-level design and signal integrity efforts across evaluation platforms and customer projects, partnering with silicon designers, validation engineers, and other hardware/software teams.
What You'll Do
- Design validation boards for product evaluation in collaboration with silicon designers, validation engineers, and software/hardware engineers.
- Analyze end-user requirements and develop PCB layouts for evaluation platforms to demonstrate Marvell’s products in system applications.
- Perform board design tasks including layout, component selection, signal integrity and power integrity analysis, safety, reliability considerations.
- Review and support customer designs using Marvell products to meet application requirements.
- Write technical reports and application notes.
What We're Looking For
- BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field; 8+ years for Bachelor's, 5+ for Master's, 3+ for PhD.
- Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools; familiar with PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Strong high-speed mixed-signal design experience at board level; SI/PI trade-offs.
- Knowledge of active and passive components for high-speed/high-density applications.
- Hands-on lab experience with measurements and debugging; familiar with IEEE 802.3 and optical module / AEC MSAs for datacenter applications.
- In-depth knowledge of PAM4 SerDes technology.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and team-oriented with project ownership.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 127,630 - 191,200 per year.
