About the Role We are seeking a Senior Staff Auditor within Capital One’s Finance Audit team to provide assurance over Global Finance and Corporate Treasury processes in the Second Line of Defense and First Line Business Risk Offices. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to apply risk-based auditing, leverage data analytics, and influence governance and internal control practices across Capital One. What You'll Do

  • Audit major components of business units.
  • Assist in developing engagement planning documentation, including risk-based scoping rationale.
  • Design and execute internal control testing for operations of varying complexity.
  • Perform audit tasks of moderate difficulty, demonstrating audit expertise.
  • Prepare clear, organized documentation to support work performed.
  • Establish and maintain good client and team relations during engagements.
  • Communicate information and audit progress to team, clients and auditor-in-charge.
  • Perform engagement administration as assigned, including hours and budget tracking.
  • Self-prioritize and plan own work, managing multiple priorities; proactively take on additional work to support the team. What We're Looking For

  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or military experience; at least 2 years of experience in auditing, treasury, accounting, financial analysis, compliance, or a combination.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; certifications such as CIA, CPA, CFA, CRM, FRM, or CRC; 2+ years of experience in banking/financial services or professional services; 2+ years of data analysis in internal auditing.

  • Salary ranges by location: McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100; New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100; Plano, TX: $87,700 - $100,100; Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100; Riverwoods, IL: $87,700 - $100,100.
  • This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
