About the Role Join L3Harris as a Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineering in Salt Lake City. You will drive supplier quality, failure analysis, and continuous improvement to support customer, program, and product success across the supply base. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering to improve design for manufacturability and ensure seamless integration of supplier deliverables into the division's deliverables. What You'll Do

  • Support and assist with continuous improvement efforts, deployment and management of a Supplier Quality Engineering program across customer, supply base, proposals, processes, programs, and hardware.
  • Ensure financial goals and measures are met.
  • Continuously improve supplier quality assurance and incoming inspection planning, tools, and processes for supplier qualification and management of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Measure, monitor, report, and improve internal and external performance across the supply base.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Engineering and Manufacturing to improve design, manufacturability, test, and inspection information to assure improved product performance and integration into deliverables.
  • Support product development reviews within the supply base.
  • Assist with quality audits, failure analysis and incident investigations with partners across Supply Chain Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Develop advanced risk management tools and reporting with SCM and SCE.
  • Assist with annual operating plans and business strategies for the Supplier Quality Assurance and Receiving Inspection teams.
  • Interface with customer and program representatives throughout the program life cycle in supplier QA activities.
  • Execute continuous improvement activities for the Supplier Quality Assurance team as directed by leadership.
  • Perform source inspection and direct customer shipments from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Mentor and train new Supplier Quality Engineers. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline with a minimum 6 years of relevant experience; or Graduate Degree with at least 4 years; or 10 years if no degree.
  • 6 years’ experience in Defense or Aerospace roles such as Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, Process Engineer.
  • 6 years’ experience with supply chain management / supplier management processes, tools, and techniques.
  • 4 years’ experience with Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA).
  • 6 years’ experience with continuous improvement analysis tools and techniques (design for six sigma, root cause analysis, SPC, lean, FRACAS).
  • 6 years’ hands-on experience with AS9100 QMS and AS9102 First Article.
  • Background in counterfeit parts prevention and SAE AS5553 and AS6171.
  • Background in power supply manufacturing or electronics manufacturing.
  • Graduate degree in Engineering and/or MBA.
  • Professional certifications desired (APICS, PMP, CMP, Quality Engineering, Six Sigma).
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor experience.
  • Excellent communication and teambuilding skills and ability to manage relationships with internal and external customers. Nice to Have
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor experience.
  • Security clearance eligibility.
  • Professional certifications (APICS, PMP, CMP, Six Sigma).
